Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 leaks reveal key specs and teaser image

It’s easy to forget because Xiaomi doesn’t officially carry its premium foldable phones in Singapore, but the company hasn’t abandoned its foray into bookstyle mobile phones.
Now, a new leak has surfaced, showing Xiaomi Mix Fold 4’s key specifications and a teaser image. Popular tipster @evleaks on X (formerly Twitter) shared a picture claiming to be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4, along with a list of expected perks the phone should have.
Before we dive into the details, a quick look at the purported phone shows a Xiaomi handset packing six cutouts in its camera island. The image implies four cameras, with one flash module and a distance-based sensor in the sixth ring. It’s unclear if the sixth is a laser-focusing module.
The Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will also have Leica optimisations for its imaging, based on the Leica livery to its right. An important disclaimer on the image is that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 pictured is a prototype and may not be the final product.
According to @evleaks, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 will come with 2024’s premium flagship processor, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. It would also pack a 5,000mAh capacity battery, wireless charging capabilities with unspecified wattage, and IPX8-rated resistance (which means no resistance to dust but the highest possible water resistance rating on the IP scale).
Most interesting, however, is the “thickness<10mm” label on the social media post, which implies that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 4 is less than 10mm thick when folded. If it’s true, the phone will likely be as thin as (or thinner than) the Honor Magic V2, one of the slimmest premium bookstyle foldables currently available in Singapore (9.9mm for the PU cover version).
The predecessor also came with a premium processor and many new features, although it did not have a 5,000mAh battery.
