Razer today announced the Firefly V2, an upgraded version of the original Firefly. The new mouse pad is thinner and brighter than its predecessor, featuring also 19 individual lighting zones, four more than the first Firefly.

The Firefly V2 measures 355mm x 255mm x 3mm, and it also comes with a micro-textured hard surface. Most of the top gaming mice today generally have optical sensors, but some older mice are still outfitted with laser sensors, which tend to do better on hard surfaces.

Razer also makes the Firefly Cloth Edition for those who prefer cloth mats, but there's no mention yet as to whether the Firefly V2 will eventually be getting a cloth version.

Elsewhere, the V2 mouse pad comes with a built-in cable catch to minimise mouse drag and a rubber base for better grip. The lighting can be configured in Razer's Synapse 3 software and synced with other Chroma-compatible devices.

It's available to buy now on Razer's online store at S$80.90
