Razer’s new Firefly Cloth Edition mouse mat comes with RGB lighting
Razer’s RGB LED hard mouse mat now has a cloth version, and it’s available for pre-orders starting today.
The Razer Firefly Cloth Edition mouse mat was unveiled earlier today, and it features a cloth surface for your mouse, with Razer’s proprietary Chroma Lighting – customizable RGB LEDs with the ability to display up to 16.8 million colors.
This new mouse mat varies slightly from their predecessor, the Razer Firefly mouse mat. The earlier version uses a polycarbonate (plastic) hard surface that comes in a micro-texture finish, while the new Firefly Cloth Edition has a cloth surface that uses a textured weave. The specifications are otherwise similar or identical - both mats are hard mouse mats have a non-slip rubber base, and a gold-plated USB connector to power the Chroma lights. Both mats are also 355 x 255m, but the original Firefly is 0.4mm thick at 380g, while the new Firefly Cloth Edition is 0.35mm thick at 166g.
The Firefly Cloth Editions retails at S$89.90 – it’s the same price as the polycarbonate version – and you can pre-order it here. It will come to retail stores in October 2016.
