While Nintendo has confirmed that the Nintendo Switch 2 will not arrive this year, that didn't stop the tipsters from revealing its purported specs and launch timeframe.

Famiboards forum member Lic analysed different shipment and customs data between Nintendo, Nvidia, and other companies to provide a list of possible specs for the Switch 2: 12GB RAM (2 x 6GB LPDDR5X modules) and 256GB UFS 3.1 internal storage space.

Another tipster, @CentroLeaks claims on X (formerly Twitter) that the Switch 2 and controllers could come with a built-in microphone. The tipster added the Switch 2 might be equipped with an 8-inch display

Another Famiboards member, mjayer, posted a scale mockup of the Switch 2 and compared it to the Switch and Steam Deck. As this render is based on leaked parts, it is very likely that the final design would look very different.

More importantly, according to Brazilian tvPH, the Switch 2 will likely be unveiled in March 2025. The tipster also said the Switch 2 "will have physical and digital backwards compatibility with Switch games."

Earlier this year, rumours suggested that Nintendo's delay in launching the Switch 2 to Q1 2025 was due to the need for more time to build a stronger lineup of game offerings.
