After impressing us with the Magic V2 and Magic V3 foldable smartphones, Honor is set to launch the latest addition to the series on 2 July.

By skipping the inauspicious number four in Chinese culture, the new Honor Magic V5 will be unveiled at its launch event in Shenzhen, China at 7PM local time.

While we don't know much about the phone yet, rumours online suggest that the Magic V5 will boast a battery capacity of 6,100mAh, which is a 20% improvement over its predecessor.

We can also expect Honor to reclaim its crown for having the thinnest foldable smartphone, and dethrone the current OPPO's Find N5 (8.93mm, folded).

Other rumoured specs fo the phone include the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Leading Version processor. Speculated upgrades are a new 200MP periscope telephoto camera and a slightly larger internal screen.

With Xiaomi dropping their teaser for the upcoming Mix Flip 2 and Samsung set to launch their new foldable phones soon, we're gearing up for an exciting summer.
