Following Bloomberg's report that M4 Macs are likely to be announced later this month, Russian channel Wylsacom has uploaded what appears to be an unboxing video of the yet-to-be-released 14-inch MacBook Pro with M4 chip.
The unboxing video reveals four new features coming to the 14-inch base model of the MacBook Pro with M4 chip.
First, the box states that the 14-inch MacBook Pro base model has the M4 chip with a 10-core CPU. This is similar to the M4 chip found in the iPad Pro, which is said to have up to 25% faster performance than the current M3 model. You can read more about the M4 performance in this article.
Second, the 14-inch MacBook Pro base model is indicated with 16GB RAM which reinforced Bloomberg's August report that M4 Macs might start with 16GB of memory for the first time.
Third, there are three Thunderbolt 4 ports on the 14-inch MacBook Pro base model. This is one more than the current model which has two Thunderbolt 3 ports.
Fourth, Apple could offer the 14-inch MacBook Pro base model in a space black finish. This fan-favourite colour is currently exclusive to MacBook Pros with M3 Pro or M3 Max chips.
