ASUS showed off a new Wi-Fi 7 router at CES 2025 and it’s the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI.

If this sounds vaguely familiar, it’s because ASUS launched another at Computex last year called the ROG Rapture GT-BE19000.

The difference with the new router is that it has a built-in NPU (neural processing unit) that enables various AI features.

According to ASUS, the NPU can learn from usage patterns and reduce energy consumption by as much as 46%. The NPU also enables AI-powered game acceleration to reduce ping, jitter, and data packet loss. It can also identify interference and offer insights to improve wireless performance.

As you might have guessed from its name, the new ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI has a maximum wireless data transfer rate of 19,000Mbps across its three networks. Yes, it’s a tri-band router. Here’s the breakdown of its wireless speeds:

  • 2.4GHz - up to 1,376Mbps
  • 5GHz - up to 5,764Mbps
  • 6GHz - up to 11,529Mbps

Wired connectivity has been improved. The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI has dual 10G ports for WAN and LAN, one 2.5G LAN/WAN port, three 2.5G LAN ports, and the ability to aggregate the two 10G ports to create a 20G link. It also has two USB-A ports.

The ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI certainly looks like an intriguing router, however, its AI claims will be hard to evaluate. But even without its AI features, I think the GT-BE19000AI will be appreciated for its improved wired connectivity. Having so many 10G and 2.5G ports will be much welcomed by power users who want to maximise the performance potential of their ultra-fast fibre plans and networking devices.

Availability and pricing

ASUS has yet to announce when the new ROG Rapture GT-BE19000AI will be released, but reports say it's sometime this year and that it’ll cost US$799.99 (~S$1,095). We will update this article when ASUS releases more information on availability.
