Dell's Linux Ultrabook Gets 1080p Screen
A post on Dell Web Vertical Director Barton George's blog has revealed that the Dell Linux Ultrabook, called the Developer Edition, will be getting an upgrade in the form of a 1080p screen. All other specifications for the product remain unchanged.

Dell may or may not be going private. But in the mean time they are still working on their products. A post on Dell Web Vertical Director Barton George's blog has revealed that the Dell Linux Ultrabook, called the Developer Edition, will be getting an upgrade in the form of a 1080p screen. All other specifications for the product remain unchanged.
The Developer edition is essentially an XPS 13 running a customized version of Ubuntu, which was first announced as Project Sputnik. Now the ultrabook will have 1920 by 1080 resolution. According to the stated specifications of 350 nits and almost a 180 degree viewing angle for the screen, we assume it is an IPS panel though this has not yet been confirmed by Dell. The ultrabook display still does not meet the high standards of Linux creator Linus Torvalds, but the change is a step in the right direction.
Dell has also announced that the Developer Edition will also be made available in Europe in the near future. There is no word yet on availability in the Asian region.
