Apple may push back the launch of the rumored 13-inch MacBook Air model and not announce it at WWDC 2018.
According to DigiTimes, supply chain sources claim that Apple has pushed back the volume production of the laptop to the second half of the year. Supply chain partners speculate that the delay could be due to problems with some key components.
The new 13-inch MacBook Air is said to come with a slim design, a Retina display and Intel's latest processor. It is likely to be priced between US$799 to US$899.
Earlier last month, DigiTimes reported that Apple would unveil a low-cost 13-inch Retina MacBook at WWDC 2018. KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted that the new laptop will help boost MacBook shipments by 10% to 15%.
