It looks like Apple will announce a new “Air” product this week. Just hours ago, Apple’s CEO Tim Cook posted a teaser on X that says, very simply, “There’s something in the Air.”

Though less cryptic than his last teaser, we still have no concrete idea as to what Apple might announce.

Word on the street is that the “Air” in this teaser refers to none other than the MacBook Air. According to the latest rumours, Apple will announce updated versions of its 13 and 15-inch MacBook Air with the M4 chip this week.

Furthermore, as pointed out by MacRumors, Apple used the same “there’s something in the air” tagline to tease the MacBook Air when it was first announced in 2008.

That said, Apple is also expected to be unveiling a new iPad Air soon. This will likely happen alongside a new basic iPad as well. As for the iPad Air, that will likely get updated to the M3 or M4 chip, while the new basic iPad is rumoured to be getting updated with the A16 Bionic or A17 Pro chip – though the latter seems more likely since the A16 Bionic doesn’t support Apple Intelligence while the A17 Pro does.

Stay tuned here to find out what Apple will announce later this week.
