Few brands are as well-known or aspirational as Alienware, which has nearly 30 years of experience delivering high-end gaming products.
However, even the band recognises that its best-in-class offerings might not be achievable for many, and a newer generation of budding gamers might be left out simply because their wallets can’t keep up.
Alienware presents its CES 2026 offerings.
Enter CES 2026, where Alienware has significantly expanded its range to offer a wider variety of options. We’re looking at OLED laptops, the choice between Intel and AMD processors, and new additions like ultraportables and entry-level gaming notebooks.
Let’s dive into the new offerings.
Alienware’s OLED overkill

As a follow-up to its QD-OLED monitors from the previous years (2025, 2024), Alienware has decidedly expanded QD-OLED panels to its gaming notebooks.
The Alienware 16 Area-51 and Alienware 16X Aurora now feature anti-glare panels with a 32% gloss reduction. These panels are also high-specced, boasting 0.2ms response time, HDR True Black 500 dynamic colours, 620 nit of peak brightness, with 120% DCI-P3 colours and VESA HDR CearMR 9000 certification for to alleviate ghosting (blurriness) in fast-moving scenes.
Alienware 16 Area-51 is available in several configurations, including 1TB or 2TB SSD storage. By default, each unit includes 1x HDMI 2.1, up to 2x Thunderbolt 5 (GPU-dependent), and up to 3x USB-A ports at 3.2 Gen 1 speeds, with only 1 port supporting PowerShare.

Alienware 16X Aurora offers far wider variety, like SSD storage between 512GB to 2TB, and RAM of 16GB to 64GB. The ports are versatile, too: 1x RJ-45 (Ethernet), 1x global headset jack, 2x USB-A (3.2 Gen 1), 2x USB-C (3.2 Gen 2) with DisplayPort 2.1 and 2.0, and an HDMI 2.1 port.

Also, these two (along with Alienware 18 Area-51) will get the option to have Intel Core 200HX processor with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics.

The Area-51 Gaming Desktop platform is now getting AMD’s Ryzen 7 9850X3D processor compatibility in Q1 2026.
Additionally, the classic 80L chassis now comes with full ATX compatibility.
Alienware Ultra-slim and Entry-level options
Some users want the quality assurance Alienware provides, even if they don’t have the budget for costly components. In response, Alienware has announced new ultra-slim and entry-level models.
Interestingly, these laptops don’t yet have names. We doubt they’ll be called Alienware Ultra-Slim and Alienware Entry-Class, but who’s to say after its rebranding oopsie?
Alienware Ultra-Slim
However, we know the ultra-slim model comes in 14- and 16-inch sizes, is ~17mm thin, features discrete NVIDIA graphics, has “highly efficient CPUs,” and offers long battery life. This is much thinner than the classic Alienware laptops shown above, which are around 24mm.
Alienware Entry-Level
The entry-level laptop offers the essentials that Area-51 is known for (build quality, thermals, and performance), while it cuts out the rest of the trimmings to make it wallet-friendly. While the prices aren’t out, Dell (owner of the Alienware brand) said it would be “at its most accessible price point yet” to be a user’s “first true gaming laptop”.
Exact specifications aren’t announced yet, but more will be revealed in Spring 2026.
