Just as a number of brands from ASUS to Dell unveiled their own QD-OLED monitors, Gigabyte is throwing their hat in the ring with two new QD-OLED displays. Details are sparse about these two products as the webpages for them aren't available yet, but Gigabyte did indeed get it out in time for CES 2025. These are the Aorus FO27Q5P and the MO27U2, both of which are 27-inch displays.
As an Aorus-branded product, the FO27Q5P seems to be the more gaming-oriented out of the two, with a refresh rate of 500Hz, which according to Gigabyte is the fastest in the QD-OLED segment. It also supports DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20, and meets VESA's ClearMR 13000 threshold, a certification that details image clarity and motion blur of which the 13000 threshold is currently the highest.
Gigabyte notes that the FO27Q5P is "poised to achieve the upcoming ClearMR 21000 standard" as well, and will meet VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification. The company, however, did not give a resolution for the FO27Q5P.
It did give a resolution for the MO27U2, however. This display is a 4K, 240Hz QD-OLED display, much like the 27-inch QD-OLED displays that were coincidentally announced at around the same time a few days ago. Gigabyte notes that the MO27U2 attains Delta E<2 colour accuracy and has a Pantone Validated certification. Both displays also come with Gigabyte OLED Care, which utilises AI to prevent burn-in, as well as other features including full-screen Night Vision, which enhances on-screen content in dimly-lit conditions, such as on a dark map in an FPS.
This is about all we know about these two displays, however, and some important details such as ports and response times are absent in the notably brief announcement. Pricing and availability for these products are not out yet as well.
