OPPO's upcoming smartwatch is reportedly coming with a blood pressure monitor.

Zhou Yibao, a product manager at OPPO, shared on Chinese social networking site Weibo that the upcoming Watch X2 will have a blood pressure monitor.

Zhou's post describes how the OPPO Watch X2 alerted him to a potential high blood pressure reading during his meeting. The post is also accompanied by a photo of the OPPO Watch X2 which seems to show a trendline of blood pressure readings and an abnormally high measurement.

The photo also shows the watch with what appears to be a casing. Similar to the Watch X, the upcoming model appears to have a round display and two buttons on the right side.

Other rumoured specs include eSIM support, a 648mAh battery which supports 10W fast charging, ECG and wrist temperature monitoring and an OLED panel.

The Watch X was unveiled on 29 February 2024. We reviewed the OPPO Watch X and found it to have a solid heart rate sensor and a long battery life, but lacks standout features and advanced sensors. It seems that OPPO has upped its game with the Watch X2 and is ready to take on the likes of Samsung and Huawei.

OPPO is expected to announce the Watch X2 sometime in February alongside the Find N5. The Find N5 will reportedly be launched as the "world's thinnest foldable".
