The Apple Watch Series 5 did not come with significant upgrades, but the next generation model is rumored to have bigger upgrades.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the Apple Watch Series 6 to have faster performance, improved water resistance, and better wireless transmission speeds for Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. These upgrades are possible due to the use of liquid crystal polymer or LCP material for the flexible circuit board.
Other rumored upgrades for the Apple Watch Series 6 include the use of microLED and a native sleep tracking feature.
