Apple could introduce a long overdue feature for the Apple Watch next year.
Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Apple is testing a sleep monitor feature for a future model of the Apple Watch. Testing is said to have gone for several months and the feature could debut by 2020.
The iPhone maker acquired sleep tracking firm Beddit in 2017 and it is likely to integrate some technologies from Beddit into the native sleep tracking feature for the Apple Watch. Since competing products with sleep-tracking features from Fitbit and Samsung can last several days or weeks on a single charge, it is critical that Apple improves the battery life of the Apple Watch to remain competitive.
