Xiaomi Singapore just announced the availability and pricing of its latest tablet, the Redmi Pad 2.
The Redmi Pad 2 features an 11-inch 2.5K display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz. Brightness level can be adjusted up to 600 nits in outdoor mode (500 nits when used in normal mode).
It's powered by a 6 nm MediaTek Helio G100-Ultra processor and comes with up to 8GB of RAM. The battery capacity is a respectable 9,000mAh.
The 11-inch tablet runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 2, the company's proprietary software based on Android 15 which supports a seamless user experience across Xiaomi phones and tablets. Other specs include an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP selfie camera, 128GB/256GB internal storage options, Dolby Atmos quad speakers, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.3, a metal unibody design, and USB Type-C. There's also a cellular version that supports 4G.
The Redmi Pad 2 comes at a time when other brands are also releasing entry-level tablets. Oppo recently announced the Pad SE that costs just S$249, while Honor's Pad X9a is S$399.
Availability and pricing
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad 2 is now available in Singapore at Xiaomi stores, mi.com, Shopee and Lazada. There are three configurations that you can get locally:
- Wi-Fi + 4G model for S$279
- 8GB + 256GB (Wi-Fi) for S$249
- 4GB + 128GB (Wi-Fi, online exclusive model) for S$219
To celebrate its launch, Xiaomi is also holding an experiential roadshow from 9 June to 15 June at Waterway Point, Village Square @ Level 1.
