OPPO has introduced the OPPO Pad SE tablet to Singapore at an affordable S$249, and it seeks to be the friendliest tablet in more ways than one: eye-friendly, family-friendly, and wallet-friendly.

The 7.39mm body plays host to a 9,340mAh battery and its 11-inch Immersive Eye-Care LCD panel (500-nits brightness). The display has 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and 90Hz refresh rate, but its true perk is the anti-reflective matte finish that reduces external light interference by up to 97%, letting its users get a truly immersive viewing experience (Note: Only for the Anti-Reflective Matte Display Edition of the tablet, which is S$30 more).

OPPO said that the panel is TÜV Rheinland-certified for several standards, including Reflection Free, Paper-Like Display, Low Blue Light, and Flicker-Free. This makes the tablet prioritise eye comfort, and it’s the first of OPPO’s kind to offer such display quality at this price bracket.

To make it family-friendly, OPPO implemented Personalised Kids Mode that allows parents and guardians to set up controls for screen time controls and app access, while also making the mode easily accessible on the Home Screen.

OPPO Pad SE also keeps up with the times with its inclusion of Google’s Gemini AI app, making it highly compatible across Google’s slate of apps and services (Gmail, YouTube, Google Maps). As an extra, OPPO also threw in its very own OPPO AI for Notes and Document apps.

Like the premium-grade smartphones in its stable (OPPO Find X8 Pro and the foldable OPPO Find N5), the tablet also comes with O+ Connect, which makes file transfers more seamless across other devices — especially with iPhones.

If you are tethering to a mobile phone’s hotspot for data, its Communication Sharing feature lets it automatically connect to the Internet once it’s near a paired phone, reducing the need to manually configure it each time.

Helping to keep its pricing low is the use of UFS 2.2 storage and a MediaTek Helio G100 processor. Despite that, the tablet offers 33W wired charging with both UFCS and PD protocols.
