Poor Windows RT users. While their Windows 7 and 8.x-using friends wait for Windows 10 (which is set to arrive on July 29), there’s nothing for them to look forward to since Windows RT can't be upgraded to the new OS.
If you happen to be using Windows RT (let me guess: is it on a Surface RT or Surface 2 tablet?), here’s a piece of good news: there will be an update for Windows RT. It’s called Windows 8.1 RT Update 3, and it’ll be available in September. Right now, no one outside of Microsoft really knows what new features it’ll bring; and with all the focus on Windows 10 at the moment, Microsoft isn’t saying anything either.
And really, who cares?
