Microsoft Surface RT to Start Retailing at Challenger, Funan on 5th April, 7PM
Microsoft's Surface RT will be available this Friday (5th April) from 7PM onwards at Challenger, Funan DigitalLife Mall. Challenger also announced giveaways for visitors as well as exclusive launch offers.
Following news that the Microsoft Surface RT tablet would begin retailing in Singapore around late March, we can now confirm that the Surface RT will be available this Friday (5th April) from 7PM onwards at Challenger, Funan DigitalLife Mall.
Both the 32GB and 64GB versions of the Microsoft Surface RT will be available on that day, however, pricing has not been revealed at this point (we expect it to be around S$700-900). The tablets will be sold in bundles that include a Surface Type Cover, or Surface Touch Cover (black, white or cyan). Consumers can also choose to get the tablet only, and get the additional accessories at a later date. The retail version of the Surface RT tablets will also come with the Office Home & Student 2013 RT Preview software.
According to Challenger, other accessories like the Microsoft Wedge Touch Mouse (Surface edition), Surface HD digital AV adapter, Surface 24W power supply, and a Surface VGA adapter will be available on the same day. More details such as prices and offers will be made available on April 5, so keep your eyes open for them here.
We reviewed the Surface RT in February and liked its great design, handling and good overall performance. The optional portable keyboard accessory is also one of the best we've seen.
No word yet on when, or if, Microsoft's Surface Pro tablet will be getting a launch in Singapore, however, stay tuned for future updates.
