Apple just announced the 10th-generation iPad.
The 10th-gen iPad features an all-new design with flat sides and a bigger 10.9-inch Liquid Retina Display which extends to the edges. Like the iPad Air, Touch ID is now integrated with the power button.
Powering the 10th-gen iPad is the A14 Bionic chip, which is the same chipset found on the iPhone 12 lineup. Apple says its iPad is up to 5x faster than the best-selling Android tablet, and the 16-core Neural Engine boosts machine learning capabilities by up to 80%.
The front-facing camera is now located along the landscape edge, which is a first for the iPad lineup. The landscape 12MP front camera is ultra-wide with a 122-degree field of view and supports Centre Stage, a feature that automatically pans and zooms to keep you in view as you move around. The 10th-gen iPad also has an upgraded 12MP Wide back camera with support for 4K video recording and 240fps slo-mo.
The 10th-gen Apple iPad comes in four colours and has a new optional accessory, the Magic Keyboard Folio.
Other specs include Wi-Fi 6 support, 5G connectivity (for cellular models), USB-C, and support for the optional new Magic Keyboard Folio. This marks the first time that the iPad has a keyboard with a full-sized trackpad for a click-anywhere experience and Multi-Touch gestures. The Magic Keyboard Folio attaches to the iPad via Smart Connector.
