The Apple 12.9-inch iPad Pro (6th gen) uses a mini-LED display.
Apple is gearing up to sell a lot of OLED iPad Pros this year.
Quoting a report from Hankyung, DigiTimes claims that Apple has ordered an estimated 8.5 million OLED panels for this year. The OLED panels are said to be supplied by Samsung Display and LG Display.
LG Display is designated as the supplier for the 12.9-inch model with a planned production of 4.5 million panels. Samsung Display will manage the supply for the 11-inch model with about 4 million panels.
Apple is expected to unveil the new OLED iPad Pros as early as next week. As OLED costs more than LCD, there are rumours of an incoming price hike for the iPad Pros.
