Huawei’s 2025 PaperMatte tablet is sharper, brighter, more magnetic, and sold in Singapore
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) may share the same name as its predecessor, but the upgrades are all under-the-hood.

Huawei is bringing another tablet with a PaperMatte Display to Singapore. This time, it’s packing in more Pro perks without the Pro-hibitive price tag.
For context, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) was first announced in in July, alongside the global unveiling of the Huawei Pura 80 series smartphones (our Pura 80 Ultra video hands-on here).
It’s not the same model as the one announced earlier this year in Kuala Lumpur, which is the 2024 model.
Upgrades in the Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025)
Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) gets additional perks, even if its not obvious.
The new Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) has added extra coatings for anti-glare and anti-reflection properties, an improved Huawei Notes app for added AI Handwriting Enhncement, art brushes, and other tools.
Also, it now has GoPaint, a Huawei-exclusive digital painting app that was previously not available for tablets below Pro desgination.
Other changes include a bigger battery, faster charging, better peak brightness, higher pixel resolution (and more sharpness),and more.
What returns are the 120Hz refresh rates, and the use of PaperMatte Display that’s mimics the experience of reading on paper.

The new 2025 tablet has minor differences from the 2024 version.

Note that the tablet uses HarmonyOS 4.3 for its operating system, which is based on OS code from the Android Open Source Project.
In English, this means that you can’t run Google Mobile Services, but you can still sideload other Android apps that don’t rely on Google services, on top of using Huawei’s own HMS ecosystem and its AppGallery apps.
Other minor differences also include an upgraded heat diffuser for thermal management (25% more efficient).

Details of Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) prices and promotions are below.
Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2025) retails at S$498 in two colours, Violet and Space Gray.
From 19 August 2025, pre-ordering one nets the user a free Huawei Smart Keyboard and M-Pencil (3rd Gen). The freebies are worth a total of S$296.
Pre-orders are available exclusively at physical Huawei Experience Stores, and on the official online platforms of Huawei (Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop).
Additionally, there are time-limited S$30-off vouchers on Lazada and Shopee, and a S$20-off voucher on TikTok Shop. These vouchers are available while stocks last, with T&Cs.
From 30 August 2025 onwards, the tablet goes to sale at other retailers, such as Challenger, MetaPod, and SprintCass.
