Vivo today (16 December 2024) announced its X200 series flagship-grade smartphones (Vivo X200 and Vivo X200 Pro) for the global market, marking the official start of its 2025 top-end mobiles in an international outreach two months after its China-only release.
As promised, X200 series’ self-developed AI-assisted features are for the Chinese market only, since the international launch did not mention BlueLM, voice interaction or translation, or integration with things like beauty filters for photos or livestreaming.
However, it does come with Google-made AI features for phones. You get perks like Gemini (via the app), Circle to Search with Google, and unmissable photo-editing tools like AI Erase, AI Photo Enhance, and Shadow Removal.
However, that’s not why we are interested in the phones. Vivo X200 series handsets come with ZEISS co-engineered cameras, which offer versatility through telephoto expertise and tools that don’t heavily rely on artificial filters.
Vivo X200 Pro gets a ZEISS-branded 50MP main camera and 200MP telephoto camera, alongside a standard 50MP ultrawide angle camera. Vivo X200, on the other hand, gets a 50MP VCS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera, and a 50MP standard ultrawide camera. In short, if you want more ZEISS branding, you’ve got to pay for the Pro.
Besides having strong portraiture capabilities, Vivo and ZEISS also included professional-grade landscape tones via Atmospheric Style and Soft Style. Another perk is Super Landscape Mode, which combines various features (Paranoma, Landscape Long Exposure, ZEISS-branded perspective correction) into one filter.
This is extra true when you consider how both Vivo X200 series phones offer its dual-chipset configuration. They are both similar, getting a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor (same chipset in the OPPO Find X8 series), but Vivo has added a self-made V3+ Imaging Chip for photography needs.

Pricing and availability
For the global market, Vivo is bringing both X200 and X200 Pro devices in five colours: Titanium Black, Green, White, and Blue.
It’s still unclear if the Vivo X200 series will be officially available in Singapore. We’ll update the article if Vivo decides to carry the phones here. Stay tuned.
