Vivo has finally launched its flagship-tier Android smartphones for 2025, the X200 series, in its home market, China. This series introduces three models: the standard Vivo X200, the Vivo X200 Pro, and the Vivo X200 Pro mini.
The launch follows the announcement of MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chipset, which is the processor choice for the X200 series.
135mm telephoto for shooting at concerts

New to the Vivo X200 series is the 135mm telephoto lens, going beyond its 100mm telephoto from its predecessor (and matching its X100 Ultra's 135mm lens). 135mm telephoto focal length also introduces Telephoto Super Stage Mode, which contains software tuning that optimises for shooting at live concerts and events. Additionally, telephoto shooting also comes with Super Landscape Mode and Telephoto Macro. The phones are therefore capable of 20x zoom.
As with before, Vivo’s Live Photo format is also compatible with iPhone’s.
10-bit Log video recording

Among the many advances in the latest X200 series is 10-bit Log video recording, allowing professional film and video producers to have flexible post-production colour grading even when shooting with Vivo’s latest premium mobiles.
Also in its shooting arsenal is 4K HDR Cinematic Portrait Video (which offers portraiture-focused videography), and slow-motion recording at 4K120FPS, which is ideal for action-oriented shooting and sports.
Dedicated imaging chip, Sony sensors

All three devices pack an extra Vivo V3+ imaging chip for processing photos taken by the phones.
Specifically for the Vivo X200 Pro, the company worked with Sony to create the Sony LYT-818 sensor, which offers heightened imaging power efficiency and power within a compact design. Vivo also said AI-driven algorithms back its imaging to help refine details in shots.
BlueLM, but China-only

While on the topic of AI, Vivo also introduced BlueLM into its operating system (OriginOS 5). This voice interaction and translation AI is only for Mainland China use. Vivo Said it has “seamless AI integration” in everyday tasks, ranging from filters for live broadcasting to beauty enhancements and helping maintain user privacy.
Other perks include a new location data module and system that grants Vivo X200 series kilometre-level location data, even without a network connection.
The X200 series also has increased silicone content, heightened cold resistance, and improved energy efficiency to enhance its battery uptime.
MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset for all

A crucial aspect of the Vivo X200 series is its performance, with all three models touting a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor within. MediaTek has previously said that the new chipset has 35% faster single-core performance, 28% faster multi-core performance, and 40% better power efficiency than its predecessor (Dimensity 9300).
Eye comfort with granular dimming technology

The Vivo X200 series has 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, which not only helps with brightness control but also makes prolonged viewing more comfortable.
Vivo X200 and X200 Pro use a flat display but offer a curved body. The 6.3-inch Vivo X200 Pro mini tries to be as compact as an iPhone 16 Pro but has a 5,700mAh battery capacity (which exceeds the iPhone 16 Pro Max’s, per Vivo’s statement).
