Sony Unveils 4.3-Inch Xperia Z1 Compact, Comes with Flagship Worthy Specs

Sony Mobile Communications today announced at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014 the Xperia Z1 Compact, which is a 4.3-inch variant of the Z1 and comes with flagship specs such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2GHz processor.

Sony Mobile Communications today announced the Xperia Z1 Compact at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2014. The Xperia Z1 Compact is also referred as the international model of the Xperia Z1 F, which was announced for the Japanese market in December 2013. 

Touted as "the world's best premium compact smartphone", the Xperia Z1 Compact packs a powerful suite of specs similar to its flagship counterpart such as:

  • Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core 2.2GHz processor
  • 2GB RAM
  • Android 4.3 Jelly Bean (upgradable to Android 4.4 KitKat shortly after launch)
  • 4.3-inch Triluminous display / 1,280 x 720 pixels
  • 20.7 megapixel rear camera with Sony Exmor RS® for mobile image sensor
  • IP55/58 ratings for dust and water resistance
  • 2,300mAh battery
  • 127 x 64.9 x 9.5 mm
