Some iPhone 7 models affected by mic issues after iOS 11.3 update

Some iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus users have experienced mic issues after the recent iOS 11.3 update. Apple is aware of the matter and has issued a service guide for its authorized service providers. 

Based on the document obtained by 9to5Mac, users of affected devices may see the speaker button grayed out during calls or experience no audio during playback for voice memos or videos. 

Apple may offer free repair or replacement for affected models which are out of warranty on a case-by-case basis. There are a number of troubleshooting steps such as disconnecting any Bluetooth or audio accessories, and running audio diagnostics. 

This is the second issue affecting the iPhone 7 lineup. Earlier in February, Apple rolled out a repair program for iPhone 7 with "no service" issues.
