Samsung's Q4 2020 financial report spells out focus on 5G, flagship, and foldable smartphones
It's to nobody's surprise that the company did well despite Covid-19 shaking up the scene. It's next steps, however, are interesting - to say the least.

You'd think that Covid-19 and its repercussions have led to many consumers being more judicious about their spending. According to Samsung's Q4 2020 financial report, that means consumers will continue to demand nothing less than premium, high-quality goods from the brand.
In the report, Samsung said that it's IT and Mobile Communications division will "strengthen its leadership in the premium segment", citing the ongoing sales of the Galaxy S21 series. They're also looking to further expand not just the Galaxy Z Fold lineup, but also the Galaxy Z Flip, as part of their expansion strategy.
Another focus for the smartphone division is the rollout of more 5G-capable devices, "as well as tablets and wearable products". This is a pretty sure sign of yet another Galaxy Watch (or three) in the works, with a likely successor to the Galaxy Tab S7 premium tablet series.
Similarly, the Consumer Electronics division of Samsung (where the smart TVs and home appliances reside) also said that they will further home in on premium products. The brand cited "pent-up demand" in "advanced markets" for premium-tier appliances.
