Samsung's answer to the Huawei Mate XT might take longer to arrive than initially expected.

Ross Young, the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) shared on X that Samsung's triple-folding phone might not arrive this year. Instead, he thinks it is likely to be available in early 2026

Young's early 2026 timeline is slightly later than what Korean blogger yeux1122 claimed. yeux112 says a "Fold 7 Variant (Triple)" could launch in 2025.

There are two possible reasons for Samsung to unveil the triple-folding phone in 2026. First, Samsung may need more time to address the technical challenges of designing the phone. After all, triple-folding phones are more complicated.

Second, Samsung could want to time the launch to show off its latest foldable innovation along with Apple's rumoured foray into the foldable market.

Recent rumours indicate that we could be looking at three new Samsung foldable phones next year. Two of them are tipped to be variants of the Galaxy Z Fold7 while the other is likely to be the Galaxy Z Flip7.  Additionally, a Galaxy Z Flip FE might be in the pipeline.
