Samsung may be releasing two Galaxy Note 7 devices later this year.

According to Chinese social networking site Weibo user Rec2020_Eight, there is a possibility that Samsung is working on a cheaper variant of the Galaxy Note 7. Known as the Galaxy Note 7 "Lite", the device is said to have a lower price tag.

The "Lite" model is rumored to have a 5.8-inch Full-HD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and 4GB RAM. In comparison, the Galaxy Note 7 is expected to have a Quad-HD display of the same size, an Exynos 8890 processor or Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 823 processor, 6GB RAM and IP68 rating.

Korean site The Bell reported that Samsung may be announcing the Galaxy Note 7 in mid-July to replicate the success it had with the Galaxy S7.
