Samsung announced its successor to its award-winning clamshell foldable flip phone, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6. This upgrade brought forth a bunch of new features and components that solidify its status as a fashion symbol with true blue flagship components and features that bring out the best sides of its users.

First, it has added functionality to its 3.4-inch Super AMOLED FlexWindow outer display. It can now make Suggested Replies, which let you respond to messages using tailored responses derived from your typing style and Galaxy AI’s enhancements. The FlexWindow also gets more Widgets, the ability to display multiple Widgets in one panel, and access to Samsung Health.
For added personalisation, Samsung now offers an AI-powered Photo Ambient wallpaper that changes in real-time based on time and weather. The layout of your current wallpaper’s elements (like the clock and frame colour) can also be adjusted to suit the current background image, so that it doesn’t block important parts of your wallpaper.

FlexCam, the half-folded state where users can take photos with, now gets Auto Zoom. It’s a feature that automatically frames the subject without manual intervention. Users can simply strike poses while standing away from their Galaxy Z Flip6, and the main camera will automatically zoom in or out to ensure that both you and the background are correctly framed. Auto Zoom lets you take a series of selfies without touching the phone when combined with photo-taking gestures.

Also upgraded are its dual rear cameras, with a 50MP main camera and 12MP ultra-wide. The 50MP camera supports 2x optical zoom, on top of all the usual Samsung enhancements like Nightography for low-light shooting and video HDR for HDR-laced video recordings. Nightography is also now native to the Instagram app, which means you can also use Samsung’s low-light shooting via the social media’s built-in camera functions.

Like the book-style foldable sibling, Galaxy Z Flip6 also uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy as its chipset, has the same enhanced Armor Aluminium, and uses Corning Gorilla Victus 2 for glass protection. You’re getting the same premium parts in a more compact, clamshell form factor. In fact, you're getting more because it's the first time the Galaxy Z Flip series clamshells get a vapour chamber within for improved thermal management.
The phone has a 4,000mAh battery with the same 25W wired charging support, wireless charging support, IP48 water and dust resistance, and Bluetooth 5.3. It can take up to one nano-SIM and multiple eSIMs too.
