With the official launch event less than a week from now, Samsung appears to have difficulties keeping the highly anticipated Galaxy S III under wraps as the benchmarking app, AnTuTu disclosed some of its specs which include:

  • Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich
  • Exynos 4212 dual-core processor running at 1.4GHz
  • 1GB RAM
  • 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels
  • Front facing 2-megapixel camera
  • Rear 12-megapixel camera

For now, these specs are similar to what Amazon Germany placed on its pre-order page for the Galaxy S III. The latest leak casts doubts over the legitimacy of the video shot by the Vietnamese site, Tinhte which mentioned that the device will be equipped with a 4.6-inch display at 1184 x 720 pixels, a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and an 8-megapixel camera. Will this be an indication that Samsung is planning to launch more than one device on May 3rd?

The Galaxy S III is also shaping up to be a benchmark monster as the leaked GPU benchmark results placed the device ahead of the current competition including the NVIDIA Tegra 3-touting HTC One X and ASUS Transformer Pad Prime.

Besides unveiling the Galaxy S III, Samsung is also rumored to be launching its own cloud service, S-Cloud to rival Apple's iCloud. The S-Cloud service is expected to ship with access to popular TV shows, movies, and music with free and paid content that will be accessible across Samsung devices such as laptops, tablets and smartphones.
