Samsung could announce the Galaxy S9 in February

Samsung's next flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus could be announced as early as late February.

Samsung's answer to the iPhone X is coming soon.

According to Bloomberg, Samsung is planning to announce the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 Plus as early as late February with retail availability slated in March. Sources claim that the Galaxy S9 will look similar to the Galaxy S8, but will come with upgraded cameras.

If true, the launch schedule of the Galaxy S9 is one month earlier than the Galaxy S8 and marks the return to a more aggressive market strategy by the South Korean company. Rumors so far have suggested that the Galaxy S9 models will have the same display sizes as the Galaxy S8 series, a 1,000 fps camera, faster iris scanner and facial recognitionfaster overall performance and 512GB storage option
