Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Z Fold6 variant may have a new name and better main camera.
The alternate Galaxy Z Fold6, reported in recent weeks as the Galaxy Z Fold6 Slim or the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra, could be called the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition.
Reliable tipster@evleaks on X shares the "Special Edition" moniker. He also suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold6 variant has a better main camera with a 200MP sensor. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold6 comes with a 50MP main camera.
It remains to be seen if the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition sports the same 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor as the Galaxy S24 Ultra, or the recently announced ISOCELL HP9 200MP telephoto sensor.
Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition in late September, which should coincide with the retail availability of the Apple iPhone 16. However, the Galaxy Z Fold6 Special Edition may only be available in China and Korea.
