Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series went well in Korea and India

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series broke the pre-sales record in Korea while garnering twice as many pre-orders in India within the first 24 hours.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is reportedly off on a good start. 

According to Korean publication Chosun Biz, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series broke the pre-order record for the Galaxy S series in Korea. The Samsung Galaxy S23 series had 1.09 million pre-orders compared to 1.01 million pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S22 series last year. The Galaxy S23 Ultra is said to be the most popular model as it constituted 60% of the pre-order numbers.

For India, ET Telecom says the Samsung Galaxy S23 series received double the pre-order numbers as the Galaxy S22 series in the first 24 hours. Raju Pullan, the senior vice president of Samsung India, shared that the company received almost 140,000 pre-orders for the Galaxy S23 series within the first day.

Pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series are ongoing in Singapore until 16 February. The official retail date for the phones is 17 February.
