Poco launches F7 Pro and Ultra in Singapore, two flagship killers at affordable prices
Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra are made for picky users who want top-end stuff at lower-end prices. Is choosing Singapore for a launch a coincidence or a hat-tip towards how picky we are? #poco

Poco has updated its F series phones with two new models, the Poco F7 Pro and the Poco F7 Ultra.
For those new to this Xiaomi sub-brand, it’s worth noting that Poco primarily has three ranges of phones, all which tries different ways to interpret Poco's adherence to a good price and good value:
- The F series (like this Poco F7 Pro and Poco F7 Ultra) is its flagship tier, even if they usually cost half of other brands’ flagship models with equally killer specs in most areas.
- The X series is their midrange, like the Poco X7 Pro we recently reviewed.
- The M series is their entry-level, budget-optimised lineup, as seen with the Poco M6.
In a nutshell, Xiaomi sends out Poco’s F series as its designated flagship killer. This cycle, we see two assassins. We’ve set out what they offer and how to get them.

Let’s be frank. If a brand wants to offer flagship killers that can rival the likes of OPPO Find X8 Pro (S$1,649 for 512GB), Honor Magic7 Pro, Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra (S$1,828 for 256GB), and even its own sister brand’s Xiaomi 15 Ultra (S$1,699 for 512GB), people will first want to know the price before giving the new entrant further thought.
The Poco F7 Pro (12GB RAM, 256GB storage), which contains 2024’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, starts at S$669. That’s before factoring in pre-order bonuses.
The rival phones above relied on the same chipset just last year before recent releases updated them to a 2025 equivalent.
Besides the processor, Poco F7 Pro packs many borrowed features that are also seen in its premium flagship friend (Xiaomi 15 Ultra), such as Xiaomi HyperOS 2 and some Xiaomi HyperAI features (Gemini, Circle to Search, AI Writing, and more). It’s essentially the modern Android 15 interface you already see on new Xiaomi phones.
Poco F7 Pro uses a 6.67-inch “2K Flow” AMOLED, which means it's a 3,200 x 1,440-pixel resolution panel with a maximum 120Hz refresh rate. Other perks include high peak brightness (3,200 nits), high responsiveness (2,560Hz touch sampling rate), and HDR compatibility (HDR10+, Dolby Vision). It even comes with the holy trinity of TÜV eye comfort certifications (low blue light, flicker-free, and circadian friendly).
It doesn’t skimp on the basics either, providing Corning Gorilla Glass 7i for its panel, a 6,000mAh battery, 90W wired fast charging, an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, an IP68 water and dust resistance rating, and Wi-Fi 7 compatibility. Its RAM and storage are also amazing, as it has some of the latest (and fastest) technologies, LPDDR5X and UFS 4.1, respectively.
Longtime fans of Poco since its early days would know the phones are typically marketed at mobile gamers. Poco claims its WildBoost Optimisation 4.0 tuning allows games like Genshin Impact to operate at 90FPS.
Cameras include a 50MP main shooter (Light Fusion 800 sensor), further boosted with hardware and AI enhancements, paired with an 8MP ultrawide camera. Additions include Dynamic Shots (a proprietary version of Live Photos you see on iPhones) and AI edits for extra creativity.
Poco F7 Pro's design is unique because it adopts a dual-tone rear. The top half is glossy, while the bottom has a matte finish.
To boost its network connectivity, the phone has a dedicated Surge T1S tuner chip that supposedly improves Wi-Fi and Bluetooth performance by 16% and furthers cellular performance by 37%.

The Poco F7 Ultra is the first time Poco has introduced an “Ultra” model. As the name implies, it takes everything from its Pro variant above and pushes beyond with outrageous components at even more unbelievable prices.
It uses the 2025 Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, which starts at S$869 (12GB RAM + 256GB storage). That’s the same processor used in most premium flagships launched earlier this year, but at nearly half the price.
To maximise its display further, it uses the same panel specs but with an additional VisionBoost D7 chipset (12nm process). It helps the phone achieve in-game HDR at 120FPS in 2K resolution mode, although that’s only supported on select mobile games.
It has a lower 5,300mAh battery capacity, but faster 120W wired HyperCharge fast-charging. Both models have two additional chipsets to help with charging efficiency and speed: Surge P3 (for charging) and Surge G1 (for battery). The true extra perk on Ultra, however, is 50W wireless HyperCharge.
Camera-wise, it uses a triple rear configuration with a 50MP main camera (Light Fusion 800 sensor) that supports 24mm, 28mm, and 35mm equivalent focal lengths. Its 50MP floating telephoto camera has an optical 60mm, giving the phone 2.5x optical zoom.
The 48mm (2x zoom) and 120mm (5x zoom) are in-sensor crops of their respective main and telephoto cameras. Finally, it uses a 32MP ultrawide camera for its 120° field-of-view.
The design is slightly different. Poco F7 Ultra uses quad-curved, proprietary Poco Shield Glass instead of just Corning.
All the other perks, like an added tuner chip, high-quality connectivity, IP ratings, and more, follow the Pro variant.
