Poco’s entry-level M6 phone packs 108MP camera and 5,030mAh battery for just S$199

Poco, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has announced the local availability and pricing of its newest "M" series smartphone, the Poco M6.
Successor to the Poco M5, the latest member of the “M” series line is a budget 4G smartphone that shares its key specs with Xiaomi’s Redmi 13, which announced its local pricing earlier in the same week.
The Poco M6 features a large 6.79-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 2,460 x 1,080 pixels, giving it a pixel density count of 296 PPI. The screen can run at a maximum 90Hz refresh rate with a High Brightness Mode peaking at 550 nits. This puts it on par with other budget offerings like the Redmi 13. The screen is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Powering the Poco M6 is the MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra in a 6GB or 8GB RAM configuration. It's fuelled by a large 5,030mAh battery that supports 33W of wired fast charging. Poco said that the M6 will take approximately 70 minutes to achieve a full charge when using its included charging adapter.
Moving onto the camera, the back houses a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 1/1.67-inch main sensor and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, there is a 13MP front-facing camera with a soft light ring when taking selfies in dark environments.
Other features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and expandable storage via a microSD card. The phone is IP-53 certified and will come running Xiaomi’s HyperOS operating system.

The Poco M6 will be available in three colours (black, silver and purple) and in two configurations (6GB RAM + 128GB storage) or (8GB+256GB).
From 13 June to 19 June 2024, the Poco M6 will start at an early bird price of S$179 (6GB+128GB) and S$219 (8GB+256GB).
Afterwards, the Poco M6 will be available for purchase on its official Lazada store at its usual retail price of S$199 (6GB+128GB) and S$239 (8GB+256GB).
