Oppo is going mini with its latest product announcements. In just three days, the Chinese phone maker unveiled two smaller variants of its flagship smartphones - the N1 and Find 7. They are the 5-inch N1 Mini and 4.7-inch Find 7 Mini.

As previously reported, Oppo indeed was working on a mini variant of the 5.9-inch N1. While the official list of specs will be made known at a launch event on June 10, its product page revealed some information on what to expect from the N1 Mini. Here are some of its specs:
- 5-inch display
- 13-megapixel Sony sensor with 6-element lens and an aperture of F2.0
- ColorOS 1.4
- 4G LTE connectivity
- 150g

Although the device is known by its model number R6007, it is likely to be the Find 7 Mini as it inherits similar design traits as the 5.5-inch Find 7/7A. The Find 7 Mini has a 4.7-inch HD (1,280 x 720 pixels) display and an 8-megapixel rear camera with an aperture of F2.0.
Powering the Find 7 Mini is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core 1.6GHz processor and 1GB RAM. Other specs include an internal storage of 8GB, microSD expansion up to 128GB, 2,140mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0 and 4G LTE connectivity. It measures 137 x 68 x 7.75mm and weighs 128g.
By today's standards, both devices can hardly be considered mini. Android vendors usually use the "mini" moniker as a way to differentiate its scaled down variants of its flagship smartphones. The trend started from Samsung in 2012 when it unveiled the Galaxy S III Mini, which inspired other phone makers such as HTC, LG and Sony to come up with similar offerings.
