Nothing, the tech brand known for its distinctive designs, has skipped launching a flagship smartphone this year, following the Nothing Phone (2) release in 2023 (read our review here). While it wasn't idle with the launch of midrange alternatives like Nothing Phone (2a) and Nothing Phone (2a) Plus, the company did not introduce a flagship option for 2024.
Finally, the flagship successor seems to be on its way. According to 91Mobiles, a new model, listed as Nothing A059, has surfaced on Geekbench.
Based on the listing, the Nothing A059 is powered by an octa-core processor, which looks to be the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. The first time around, this device scored 1,149 in the single-core test and 2,813 in the multi-core test, proposing a solid mid-range performance, but not quite at the level of flagship models.

In our checks on Geekbench, a newer score surfaced a day after the first one, with a slightly higher multi-core score and a lower single-core one. Other details remained consistent, like its near 8GB RAM, large core clocked at 2.50GHz, and motherboard choice (codenamed volcano).
The device runs Android 15 and is expected to be layered with NothingOS 3.0, the company’s custom skin. It features the Adreno 810 GPU, both of which are typically found in mid-range smartphones aimed at users looking for a balance of performance and affordability.
Besides running a mid-range processor, the Nothing Phone (3) will likely come in two models, with the model number A059P being spotted in the IMEI database. This A059P version likely represents the more powerful "Pro" version, which could feature a larger 6.7-inch display from the base’s 6.5-inch display and perhaps a more powerful chipset like the recently released MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor.
For now, the Geekbench listing offers a fascinating early look at what could be the next Nothing smartphone. Given the company’s previous track record of launching phones early in the year, it likely won’t take long before more details surface.
