If you've been waiting for news on whether the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate will launch outside of China, we have good news to share.

GSMArena confirmed that Huawei will launch the Mate XT Ultimate in global markets in Q1 2025. It remains to be seen if the Chinese company will hold a global launch event or announce its global availability at the annual Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in March.

Huawei unveiled the Mate XT Ultimate on 11 September in China. As the world's first triple-folding smartphone, the Huawei Mate XT Ultimate offers "three screen sizes" in different fold forms. It has a 6.4-inch display when conpletely folded. When it's unfolded once, that goes up 7.9 inches. And when completely unfolded, it has a massive 10.2-inch display.

Because of its ability to offer "three screen sizes", repair fees for the display can cost up to 9,799 yuan (~S$1,796). To give this figure some context, that's about the same price as the Apple iPhone 16 Pro (256GB) or the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 (12GB + 256GB).

Given Huawei's past launches in Singapore, there's a good chance the Mate XT Ultimate will be available here. Just be prepared to spend at least S$3,600 and take absolute care of the phone when you get your hands on one.
