If you're planning on buying a Samsung Galaxy S9 or S9+ (or if you're already pre-ordered), you can trade in your old device through Samsung's new Trade Up programme.

To use Trade Up you'll need to download the Samsung Trade Up (SG) app on your old device (available for download from 10th March 2018; and here's the iOS version). The app will do a quick assessment of your phone and tell you how much trade-in value you'll receive. Here's a video demo from Samsung that captures the whole Trade Up programme experience:-

If you're happy with the amount, simply confirm it and you can arrange to have your old device collected from your doorstep. You'll receive the trade-in value via bank transfer.

If you prefer to trade in your phone in person, you can also do so at the Samsung Experience Stores located at 313@Somerset, Bedok Mall, Jurong Point and VivoCity. Do note that you must purchase your S9/S9+ from one of these four stores to do your trade-in there.

But exactly how much will you get for your old phone? Here's the complete list on what you can expect for devices that pass the Trade Up app's assessment without issues:-
