The cover display of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 might support some optimised Google apps.

SamMobile claims Samsung is working with Google to optimise some of the latter's apps for the cover display of the Galaxy Z Flip5. These optimised apps are said to include Google Maps, Messages and YouTube. This means users are able to search for directions, reply text messages and watch YouTube without having to unfold the Galaxy Z Flip5.

Samsung is also expected to be optimising its own apps for the cover display. SamMobile says the Samsung Keyboard, Browser and Calendar apps can be accessed on the cover display.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5 are likely to debut next month. While Samsung has confirmed the location of the event, it declined to confirm a specific date other than late July. Rumours suggest the Galaxy Unpacked event will be held on 26 July.
