Purported launch and availability dates of Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5 revealed
Samsung is expected to announce the new foldable phones in end July with retail availability starting from early August.

The likely launch and availability dates for Samsung's upcoming foldable phones have been revealed by South Korean publication Chosun Media.
Samsung is believed to be holding its Galaxy Unpacked event on 26 July in Seoul to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip5 and Galaxy Z Fold5. This is in line with SamMobile's report on an announcement in the final week of July. Retail availability of the new foldable phones is expected to start on 11 August.
For reference, Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 on 10 August 2022. Pre-orders started on the same day in Singapore with collection from 26 August 2022. Retail availability of the devices was from 2 September 2022.
A source told Chosun Media the earlier-than-expected launch is due to the poor performance of Samsung's semiconductor business. An earlier launch might allow the company to sell more foldable phones ahead of Apple's iPhone 15 launch in September.
