Galaxy Note8 to be released earlier due to slowing Galaxy S8 sales?

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Note8 earlier this year due to slowing sales of the Galaxy S8.

Apple's launch of the iPhone 8 might not be the only reason for Samsung to bring forward the release of its Galaxy Note8.

According to the latest rumor from The Bell, the sales of the Galaxy S8 smartphones are not doing as well as the company has expected. It is estimated that Samsung sold about 9.8 million units of the Galaxy S8 phones in two months after the launch, which is significantly lesser than the 12 million units of the Galaxy S7 models sold during the same period last year. The Bell also has something to add about the market availability of the Galaxy Note8 - it is tentatively set for 10th September.

Korean publication Naver reported in June that Samsung is likely to hold an event in New York City on 26th August to announce the Galaxy Note8. However, Evan Bass, also known as @evleaks, claims that the Galaxy Note8 would be launched in the second half of September. He added that the Galaxy Note8 would be the most expensive Samsung phone yet at €999 (~S$1,550).
