Japanese blog Macotakara claims that Apple's upcoming 4-inch iPhone will be powered by an A8 chipset and not the A9 processor. In addition, the phone is said to be prepared for production and could ship "anytime".

Rumors on the Apple's 4-inch iPhone are officially in full swing as yet another report surfaced detailing its specs.

According to Japanese blog Macotakara, credible sources claim that the new 4-inch iPhone model - referred as the iPhone 5s Mark II" - will be powered by an A8 chipset and come with a rear f/2.2 camera. In addition, the phone is already prepared for production and could ship "anytime".

IHS Technology Research Director Kevin Wang yesterday reported that the 4-inch iPhone will launch in the first half of 2016 while KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects it to be launched alongside the iPhone 7 lineup in September 2016.
