Rumors of the new 4-inch iPhone model are making a comeback recently with the latest report claiming a sooner-than-expected launch.

According to IHS Technology Research Director Kevin Wang, Apple will be releasing a 4-inch iPhone model in the first half of 2016. Aside from the screen size, Wang did not provide further details of what to expect in the new iPhone.

Well-connected KGI analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported early this month that he expects the new 4-inch iPhone to debut alongside the iPhone 7 lineup. He also predicts that the 4-inch iPhone will be powered by the A9 chipset and lacks 3D Touch. As with all rumors, we recommend that you take Wang's report with a pinch of salt.
