Apple reportedly aims to make at least 90 million units of iPhone 14 this year
Apple reportedly asked its suppliers to make at least 90 million units of the iPhone 14.

Despite the economic uncertainty, Apple is said to be optimistic about the sales of its upcoming iPhone 14 lineup.
Sources familiar with the matter told Bloomberg that Apple instructed its suppliers to make 90 million units of the iPhone 14 for this year. In total, Apple is estimated to assemble about 220 million iPhone models for 2022.
The sources believe Apple's customer base is still willing to spend on premium devices despite the slowing global economy and shrinking global phone market.
While the iPhone 14 base model is unlikely to see a price hike, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claims the iPhone 14 Pro models could be more expensive. Kuo also says the supply chain disruptions should have "limited impact" on the mass production of the iPhone 14.
