Well-known tipster @evleaks tweeted that Apple will be launching the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and iPhone 6C this year.
Apple may be launching three iPhone models next month.
Apple may be releasing a new 4-inch iPhone model alongside the successors of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus next month.
According to tipster @evleaks, Apple will be launching the iPhone 6S, iPhone 6 Plus and the iPhone 6C at the same time. Given @evleaks' solid track record, the possibility of a new 4-inch iPhone model is very high!
Rumors of the new 4-inch iPhone model started in late 2014 with analyst Timothy Arcuri of Cowen and Company claiming that Apple could unveil three new iPhone models this year. Arcuri added that the 4-inch iPhone will sport a new design with curved screen edges like the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus.
DigiTimes followed up with another report in March 2015 citing information from sources in the supply chain that the iPhone 6S Plus and 6C will sport displays made from Japan Display, Sharp and LG Display. In April, mobile parts reseller Future Supplier managed to obtain an alleged rear cover of the iPhone 6C with some slight design differences from the iPhone 5C.
Last month, French publication nowhereelse published a photo of an alleged battery pack belonging to the iPhone 6C. However, other analysts suggest that the new 4-inch iPhone would only arrive next year equipped with 14/16nm chipsets.
Nonetheless, we are less than a month away from Apple's launch event which is rumored to be on 9th September. Are you happy that Apple is releasing a new 4-inch iPhone? Leave your comments in the section below!
