KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo is no stranger in the world of Apple's rumors. In fact, he is one of the most accurate analysts in the market. One month after releasing a report stating that Apple had acknowledged a market demand for a 4-inch iPhone, Kuo is back again with some updates.

According to his latest research note, the new 4-inch iPhone will be released in early 2016 instead of September alongside the iPhone 7. He reiterated that the 4-inch iPhone will come with an A9 processor, 2.5D cover glass with curved edges, Apple Pay, similar imaging hardware specs as the iPhone 5s and a metal casing with at least two color options.

Kuo foresees full-year shipments of the 4-inch iPhone to hit 20 million units with production slated to begin in Q1 2016. He also shared that the phone is expected to be priced between US$400 to US$500.

Two weeks ago, Japanese blog Macotakara claimed that the 4-inch iPhone model will be powered by an A8 chipset and come with a rear f/2.2 camera. It is said to be ready for shipment anytime.
