Xiaomi 17, Honor Magic8, and Poco F8 Ultra get approvals for Singapore use
Looks like Christmas came early.

Three important Android smartphone models have gotten their necessary certification for use in Singapore. They are none other than the Xiaomi 17, Honor Magic8 (Pro?), and Poco F8 Ultra.
Android triple threat
IMDA’s integrated regulatory information system (IRIS) database, which tracks approved digital communication devices for use in Singapore, saw these new entries within the last few weeks.
Xiaomi 17’s registration in IMDA’s IRIS.
Listed are Xiaomi’s 25113PN0EG, whose model number ending in “G” implies it'’ the global version of the Xiaomi 17 (China’s Xiaomi 17 ends in “C” while India’s ends in “I”). Strangely, the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max are not in the IMDA database (yet), despite all three debuting in China at the same time.
Honor Magic8 (Pro?)’s registration in IMDA’s IRIS.
Facing the same conundrum is Honor’s BKQ-N49. That has been quoted as the global counterpart to China’s BKQ-AN80 model, but it’s also said to be the global version of Honor Magic8 Pro. We’ll only know if Honor is bringing both models after it gets its official launch here.
Poco F8 Ultra’s registration in IMDA’s IRIS.
Finally, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Poco, has confidently put the Poco 25102PCBEG up for registration, and it’s also already spotted in other regulatory databases of Southeast Asia, such as Thailand.
2026: a year of the Android?
With these entrants, it’s clear that 2026’s Android smartphone market in Singapore is about to become highly competitive, given that all three phone series have a solid track record of flagship components at relatively affordable price points.
For reference, below are the reviews of their predecessors:
