The Huawei P20 Pro is the best-looking smartphone Huawei has ever made.

The P20 and P20 Pro are the first smartphones from Huawei with a notch in the display.

Unlike most notched smartphones, the P20 Pro also has a fingerprint scanner/home button below the display.

The P20 Pro notch is smaller than the iPhone X and contains the 24-megapixel selfie camera, and the earpiece, which doubles up as the left stereo speaker.

The fingerprint scanner/home button also doubles up as a navigation sensor. Swiping the button will bring up the recent apps list, short pressing it will go back one screen, while long pressing it will take you back to the home screen.

Both the power button and volume rocker are on the right-side. The power button has a small notch with a red line in it, so you can easily see and feel for it. The dual nano-sim card tray is on the opposite side.

The bottom of the phone looks very similar to an iPhone X. Down here you'll find two speaker grilles (although only the right one is functional), and a USB Type-C port in the middle. Neither the P20 or P20 Pro have a 3.5mm headphone jack, although a dongle is included in the box.

The design elements on the rear of the phone are landscape-oriented to mimic the look of a camera. This color is Midnight Blue, which is a very reflective metallic blue color.

The P20 Pro is the first smartphone with a Leica-designed triple camera setup. The larger double module contains the 40-megapixel f/1.8 RGB lens and the 8-megapixel f/2.4 3x optical zoom telephoto lens. The third lens is the 20-megapixel f/1.6 monochrome lens.
